Home Front Legacy 1914 -18 Our Day School Programme
Our day school programme is now taking shape. We are holding these events across the country from North to South and West to East and ultimately across the UK.
The contribution of our participants is vital, those people that give freely of their time to share their expertise and motivate and inspire us all.
From those who offer presentations to those whose local knowledge is invaluable to the Home Front Legacy project.
These day schools are a call to action, to contribute your local knowledge and taking the next step to record the Home Front Legacy in your locality.
In doing so you can use our online toolkit to help record and safeguard the remains of the First World War in Britain.
The latest Home Front Legacy day school was held in Salford on 4 July.
Here’s what our participants had to say:
“Liked the recording App, easy to use and could be adapted for other types of recording. Enjoyed meeting people doing projects.”
“More familiar with the App – greater understanding of WW1 Home Front”
“HER information was very useful.”
“Good day to make new connections and tap the knowledge of experts.”
“I enjoyed the day-very friendly and welcoming. I am from a WW1 background but hadn’t really considered the overlap with archaeology so it’s inspired me to make contact with archaeology groups.”
You too can become immersed in the Home Front Legacy project.
Record your local Home Front Legacy stories using the special App.
Secure information on the Home Front Legacy and your local stories for future generations.
