Home Front Legacy Site Recording Guide
Home Front Legacy are pleased to announce the launch of our on-line Site Recording Guide.
The purpose of this guide is to enable individuals and groups to use the Home Front Legacy Recording App and record the physical legacy of the First World War. The Recording App is an on-line recording form that enables the recording and mapping of First World War sites throughout the UK.
In the guide you will find practical information and guidance for planning your field recording and recording sites with the Home Front Legacy Recording App.
A series of seven short ‘toolbox talk’ videos feature within the guide. The videos demonstrate everything from accessing and using the Recording App, through to taking photographs of your site.
Each ‘toolbox talk’ video has a set of supporting notes that can be used as ‘handouts’ for group training sessions. The supporting notes also feature activities that can be used to practice using the Recording App.
You will also find an FAQ section and links to useful sources of information throughout.
We would like to thank all the participants in our Home Front Legacy Day School programme. They have offered feedback and tested our site recording guide as it has evolved throughout 2015.
